Adult Anesthesia

Relieving Anxiety and Overcoming Dental Phobias

Coping with a dental phobia is not something you have to face alone. With dental anesthesia, you can say goodbye to all fear and feel completely at ease during your appointment.

Accommodating Special Healthcare Needs

Dental Anesthesia provides a safe and effective way for patients to receive the treatment they need. We compassionately care for all patients who may require extra support or accommodations.

Alleviating Dental Pain

For patients who experience difficulty getting numb, with anesthesia services, achieving complete pain control is possible.

Managing Severe Gag Reflex

Patients with a strong gag reflex are excellent candidates for dental anesthesia, and we have options for you! The use of topical numbing liquids is one great way to suppress the sensation of gagging, but if that’s not for you, intravenous sedation is a guaranteed alternative.

Convenience for those with extensive dental needs

In the interest of lightening one’s schedule, dental anesthesia provides convenience and practicality. For patients with a lengthy treatment plan, scheduling an appointment with anesthesia care will significantly reduce your total number of office visits- many times to just one!

Yes, anesthesia in the dental office is safe. There are NOT higher risks associated with anesthesia in a dental office compared to a hospital. The risks are the same and the risks are low when preoperative instructions and fasting instructions are followed. Additionally, all monitoring equipment and medications used are exactly the same as what is being used in hospitals.

Even if a patient is completely healthy, it is required for a history and physical assessment (H&P) to be completed by a physician before a patient receives anesthesia. The purpose of this assessment is to determine if any modifications need to be made to the anesthesia plan based on the patient’s medical conditions and current health status.
